Edward Tick, Ph.D. is an archetypal psychotherapist, author, educator, poet, international pilgrimage guide, and peace activist. He has been in love with the Greek tradition since childhood. He is a specialist on ancient Greece, the origins of medicine and psychotherapy, healing the invisible wounds of war and violence, and restoring the polis, his books The Practice of Dream Healing, and War and the Soul are modern classics. His book (c) 2023 Soul Medicine: Healing Through Dream Incubation, Oracles, Visions, and Pilgrimage, provides an in-depth look at ancient Greek practices for profound, lasting healing. It further explores hidden soul-healing practices including dream incubation and interpretation as well as sacred pilgrimage.
Ed has pioneered archetypal and culturally based healing for over forty years. In addition to his private practice Ed works in Greece and Vietnam on holistic and spiritually based healing and the restoration of the Asklepian tradition and other ancient practices. He has guided 24 healing pilgrimages to Greece and 19 to Vietnam. Author of eight previous books translated into several languages, Ed uses the Greek tradition extensively in healing, writing, and teaching.
