It turned out that the ARCHAEOLOGICAL DIALOGUES, Syros 2023, 27-29/06/23 (under the aegis of, among others, the University of the Aegean and the Archaeological Ephorate of the Cyclades) was as it had promised to be, a non-conventional conference, more of an open lab for ideas and people from many disciplines, also artists, young scientists and locals, with a special interest in archaeology and communities today.

The contribution of Art, Graffiti in the City Non-Profit
We were privileged enough not only to present a paper titled “Athens and Graffiti: ancient and contemporary writings on the city’s body”, but also to moderate an entire session tilted “Αncient and contemporary graffiti: meanings and practices in public pace”.
The presentation was co-authored by Barbara Kondilis, Anastasios Kountouris, Kalliopi Koundouri, and Charalampos Magoulas (the AGC scientific team).
Our presentation was greeted with considerable interest and got very positive comments by the attendants.
All participants promised to meet again in Salonika next year for another page in the ARCHAEOLOGICAL DIALOGUES.
