1st Terra (in) Cognita International Conference Dialogues between Greek Culture and Modern American Art

"We are pleased to invite you to attend the 1st Terra (in) Cognita International Conference: Dialogues Between Greek Culture and Modern American Art which will take place on November 10-13, 2022 in our Athens campus, on Massaiias 22.

Terra (in) Cognita will examine the influence of central pillars of Greek culture, such as myth, symbolism, and tragedy in modern American art. Forty speakers of international stature will represent artistic and scientific perspectives and examine the elements which shaped this dialogue in a unified conceptual and cultural framework.

During the conference, a series of artistic events will take place, including an art exhibition by James M. Lane entitled “Re-Reverie,” a concert dedicated to Theodore Antoniou with L ’Anima String Quartet, and an event combining classical philology and live dance inspired by Martha Graham’s “Clytemnestra” and “Night Journey.”"
